There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

I woke up this morning.

I considered going back to bed.

I got up anyways and mapquested Tim's directions.

We left a little late, but finally got to the building.

We were instantly prompted on what we were packaging, how it helped, and how to package it.

They were medical pumps that would help doctors perform open-wound surgeries in Haiti.

These doctors will be in locations half the time where they don't even have hospitals.

They will set up tents, and have the surgeries in them.

The reality of it all hit me right there.

The destruction down there is real.

100,000 reported to be dead.

My mind cannot even wrap around that number.

My handwriting on boxes [VacPump Dressing Large Quantity:8] is going to be read to get to supplies TO SAVE LIVES.

Such a small part, packing boxes full of medical supplies, labeling, taping, and weighing, will make a difference.

Giving up a couple hours of my Monday morning will help save lives.

Most high schoolers slept in this morning.

I almost did.

I only hope that everyone has an opportunity to help somehow.

Make an effort.

Start something at your school.

Anything.

You live a life of luxury.

Do something to make a difference...
