Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Fresh Start

Nothing like starting out the day with a silly string attack. Thanks Eric.

Attention Everyone:

A mere 69.11 miles will separate my best friend and I next year.  It's going to be like living next door compared to the 206.36 miles we put up with this year :)

In a Nutshell

Here's a quick update. I found a ton of random pictures on my camera and forgot I hadn't posted any of them :P
 Meet "The Burrow"
That grassy patch is "The Happy Medium"
Our wonderful neighbors are Tristan, Will, and Kev-kev.
My beautiful roommates are Alicia and Teea.
Next year is going to be a hoot and a holler.
We spent an entire night brainstorming how to utilize The Happy Medium.
Hot tub?
Fire pit?
Blow up bouncy slide?
Hammocks?
The fire pit is the only realistic one but hey, we can dream.
Family dinners and worship jam nights.
God has blessed our stressful housing situation more than I could have possibly imagined.
Thank you thank you thank you Lord!
I just realized I never talked about Jimmy Needham's concert.
I was not disappointed. His honesty reminded me of Shawn McDonald.
He talked about what the songs meant to him and he made it very clear to us his struggles and doubts that went through his head that inspired the songs. He was an incredible person and I'm so glad I was able to see him. Watch this vid. I saved the best for last :)
Carly and I saw this when she was dropping me off the other day at my dorm. So clever :D
Look at the baby owl awwwwww! I didn't notice until I posted this picture that the mama owl is in the background. To the right of the baby's head.
Free makeovers at the Clinique counter in the Bookie!

Ain't No Reason

It's a Brett Dennen kind of day.
I want to create art that makes people think.
This is only the trailer. This was a super interesting documentary. I recommend renting if you didn't watch it before it could only be accessed by Hulu Plus :P
This is fricken hilarious.

Joyride through the Palouse

What a lucky girl I am to have such wonderful friends.
Girls movie night consisted of one of my ultimate favorites, Cinderella Story [Hilary Duff classic].
Bagel Shop with Carly on Saturday.
We decided that would be the worst place to go on a date.
Food chunks stuck to our teeth. Dropping things off the stools.
Not extremely attractive. Lots of laughs though :)
Picnic with Miss Katie Van Cleave today.
We decided to go on an adventure and we were not disappointed.
We found a hill. Climbed it. Plopped down a blanket, and watched the shadows of clouds move across the pretty palouse. Then we took pictures. Lots of pictures.
I taught Kate-face how to use my camera.
She didn't even know where to look when she took the picture.
It was hilarious :P
My sunglasses took a dive into the river while we were on the bridge, but not to worry everyone.
I have an identical pair. Original from the 80s. I'll keep this pair super safe.
Oh and Katie found out this weekend that she can go to Creation with me this summer. It's going to be grand :D
We're gonna turn the 'ol Camaro into a pack animal and journey to Enumclaw to make many memories :) Possibly visit some West side friends afterwards. If they let us. We're probably going to smell. Showers don't always get on the to do list at Creation ;)
Got to see a lot of my girlies this weekend. So needed. I love you guys!

Praying over the City

I nabbed the last New York Times at the CUB today. Phew.
Almost missed a day. What a terrible thought.
...
Village last night was really moving.
It's amazing when you think of God's purpose for each of us,
and how we can make a significant difference in the lives of people at our school and in Pullman.
It's awesome just sitting with people who all have the same goal in life.
Praying over the city. So cool.
...
Tristan: "That'd be sweet to evaporate like in Harry Potter."
Me: "You mean apparate?"

All Circumstances

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
The most perfect day outside today.
I went over to Thompson Flats after my classes, sat on my blanket, soaked in the sunshine, and practiced guitar.
I could have stayed there for hours.
It was absolutely glorious.

Sigh No More

Love
It will not betray you
dismay or enslave you
it will set you free.

Mumford and Sons lyrics I just can't get out of my head.
Went out with Jill today to take some portraits for her dance tryouts. My battery died after about 15 minutes despite the fact that I thought I put a fresh one in before I left.
Took approximately 12 pictures, but we managed to find great ones in just those few that she can use.
I miss doing photoshoots.
Hopefully Katie and I can have one this weekend, weather permitting.

Mom's Weekend!!

Friday:
Mama and I had a grand 'ol time over in Moscow at the Fireflight concert.
We saw the first two bands, Royal Tailor and Hyland, before we left to head back to Wazzu for the Hypnotist. I bought my Jimmy Needham ticket which I couldn't be happier about.
The hypnotist was amazing. That stuff just baffles me.
We talked to the hypnotist afterwards for at least 20 minutes.
It was super interesting.
A fantastic first night with mama jama.
[missing fingers, Jay, cookies and coffee, 2:30]
Saturday:
Back to Moscow to do some thrifting and hit up Winco.
We saw Hyland at Subway. The drummer remembered me from the concert! lol
We found me a vintage vest that I'm currently obsessed with.
Can't wait till it gets warm enough to wear it with tank tops.
Homemade pizza's at grandma and papas, and then off to the concert!
When we got to Beasley we looked down and freaked out because we didn't realize our seats were going to be so close.
During Lee's performance we felt like Randy and Simon.
We felt like we should be telling him he was in the dawg pound. Things like that haha
Colbie Caliat's voice sounds just as wonderful live as it does on the cd. She did not disappoint.

Overall a fantastic Mom's Weekend. Couldn't have been more wonderful :)

2 Corinthians 2:5-9

If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. 6 The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. 7 Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. 8 I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 9 Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything.

ChaiBackTattwo

Tristan started with a saber tooth on the forehead.
Then asked,"Would it work to put one on my mouth?"
It did.
Two sparkly kissing seahorses right on the lips.
And then frogs on the eyelids.
And then ironman in the hair.
Oh Tristan. What an entertaining neighbor you will be next year.
Never a dull moment :D
 Pokemon!!
Overall a successful ChaiBackTattwo.
Can't wait for ChaiBackTatthree :)

These two things...

I Just Want to Be Closer

Shawn McDonald.
What a genuine, talented guy.
It was just as incredible as the last time I saw him.
His new album is wonderful.
We also learned tonight that Jimmy Needham is coming to Pullman the 14th.
So many things to look forward to in my life right now :)
