Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Inland Empire

Long day today.
Lost my first match.
Bageled the second.
Won the third.
Bageled the fourth.
That's a lot of matches for one day.
On a bad ankle.
But I had visitors.
Thanks James, Lurae, Tyson, Carson, Sami, Meryn, Eric, Coaches and teammates :)
Had an interesting and fun evening that ended with TLC wedding shows until midnight.
I'm one of 7 of us going on to play tomorrow.
I'm excited, but exhausted.
I hope all goes well.
After all, I have nothing to lose.

Tatoos anyone?

Today we left for the Inland Empire Tournament in Spokane.
We left right after school, but the real fun started once we got there.
The instant we walked into the room I got out my bag of temporary tatoos.
I applied four haha [wrists, neck, and ankle did the trick]
We wanted to make sure we could intimidate our opponents tomorrow.
The fact that half the team put their tatoos with words on backwards hopefully didn't take away from the intimidation. It might have though, not gonna lie ;)
We went on a lil nature walk down by the river, and found these guys.
Nikhil tried feeding them, and kept getting bitten.
I got a pretty sweet action shot.
We did the standard walk to the red wagon, alphabet blocks, trash eating goat, carosel, and clock tower.
Our main mission was to get to Rosauers [grocery store] which none of us could correctly pronounce.
We stocked up for the next couple of days and then headed back.
Overall I want to say it was about a 5 or 6 mile walk.
Not appreciated Felix.
We know you think we're fat [and terrorists], but really? haha
I've decided that I really like Spokane.
The cute houses, the paintings under bridges, but NOT the one-way streets.
Other than that, it's just lovely :)
When we got back to the hotel we started a good ol game of Twister in the hallway.
It was one of the best ideas to bring it.
Tim was the one who spun the board. It wasn't till after our first overly difficult game that we realized he wasn't reading off his spin, he just chose whatever looked most awkward haha
We got so loud though that a hotel manager came and made us go back in our rooms.
We watched LA Ink [inspired by our new tatoos] all night until we were too tired and had to finally go to bed.

Some Simple Words of Wisdom...

Best thing I've heard all day.
Damon Fairchild (Photography teacher): "If you hear me say 'And that is how you make a clipping mask...' immediately exit HALO.
Bahaha
Today was the Academic Top Seniors Luncheon.
Free food :)
I had to stand up in front while Reddinger talked about my life "Her favorite color is yellow, and she likes long walks on the beach..."
Just kidding haha.
But seriously.
Way awkward. Oh well.
I credit my accomplishment to being a nerd Freshman and Sophomore year.
Math team baby!
Wonderful worship tonight, thanks to Ember Days, Brandon Bee, and Esterlyn.
It made me think of what I read in my quiet time today.

James 3:10
Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.

Tonight there was praising, but unfortunately, for many of us, there are times of cursing.
This should not be.

1 Peter 3:10
For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.

James 1:26
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

My religion is not worthless.
If I tame my tongue and am a good example, others will respect me and what I believe.
They are more likely to be receptive.
Keeping your words in check is almost a way of witnessing.

I know sometimes it's funny to let out an F-bomb when telling a joke, or to just let one slip in frustration, but it's just not worth it.
God despises it, so we should too.

After the concert we headed home.
My car started to sound funny so we pulled over at a gas station and Jessi assisted me in topping off my leaking oil.
It seemed to help.
We were offered quite a bit of help too haha
I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that two complete babes *wink wink* were having car troubles in their Chevy Camaro.
It couldn't have ;)
Way to go Richland Bombers, domination today, I'm so proud!

SpiderFelix

Best moment of my day; Jessi came to my match to cheer me on.
I didn't go on for a while so we got to just sit and talk for a bit.
We stole some of Korryn's cereal, had a moment, and couldn't stop laughing for the next 7 minutes.
I just love her :)
After my match my coach, Felix, walked onto the courts and yells to me,"Is this your sweatshirt?"
"Dang it, yes."
Then he proceeds to throw it over the 10 foot tall chain link fence.
It gets caught at the very top. Golden.
"Feeeeeeeliixxxxxx, what did you do that for?"
He watches me try and fail to climb the fence, and then shimmy's up it like freaking spiderman.
Mind you Felix is like 87 years old haha.
We all watched with awstruck faces.
He hands me the sweatshirt, and walks away.
Well done Fifi, well done haha.

[So there's this amazing girl on my tennis team named Melody, and this is her Volvo. She's modified the symbol in the front, and everytime I walk by her car I just wait for it to transform into an Autobot]

Pick his Flannel

I would dress him in all of these at once. What a hunk.
So one of my main goals in life is to never be mistaken for a boy.
You know the whole "What should we call her, him, errrr it?"
Goal failure this weekend.
No makeup, hair in messy bun, and I loved it.
No one actually called me a boy, just self labeled myself haha
What a stupid goal. There's nothing wrong with looking like a mountain man :)

Meryn and I had some good ol fun after school.
We went down to our river spot, but it was kinda cold, so we just stayed in the car.
There was a lady in a car next to us the whole time, but we didn't care.
We just were weird and crazy like we always are.
We sat crawled out the windows like nascar drivers, and put peanut butter crackers on our faces. The usual.
Right as the lady was about to leave, she rolls down her window and says,"I'm sorry, I hate to eavesdrop, but it just sounds like you two were having so much fun. I mean, I looked over and was like 'What the h***'."
We didn't really know what to say to that, so we just started laughing.
I love my sis :)

Full Throttle

My motorcycle.
Be brave: Lean into the corners, hoping the laws of physics are on your side.
Hunger for adventure: Going nowhere in specific. Letting the breeze in your face fuel your satisfaction.
To be Free: Definition of a motorcycle really. Unless you're a mom.

So the morning started out with a ride with el papador.
We rumbled around for about an hour, and just took in the beauty of the morning.
Filled up the tank for four bucks. Wow.
Then it was off to work at 11, I rode my motorcycle and brought my helmet inside with me.
It baffled my co-workers haha.
So much good stuff at work today.

I straight up watched a car wreck happen and didn't say anything, bathroom style.
This man was walking like he was in a speed walking marathon towards the bathroom and as we passed in the hallway I turned back and, fully knowing he was headed towards the women's door, just watched. Two seconds later he sprinted out, I couldn't stop laughing.

We were so fortunate to receive a visit from Heely man today, and not more than an hour later by Heely woman. These poor 37 year olds still think they're twelve, it's so sad. Yet so entertaining.

Colton and I discussed how handy it would be to have side cars on our electric carts.
That way we could chauffeur the elderly around in style [Rockstar stickers and all haha].

I had to clean up a butt explosion today.
Jackie was like,"Hey you should go check out the bathrooms; I can smell them from just walking by."
"Yay. Off I go."
I get two cans of aerosol spray [one for each hand obviously].
I assumed the smell was coming from the men's; I cautiously walk in, but surprisingly, smell nothing.
I backtrack and walk into the women's.
Source found.
I wish it was not the droid I was looking for, but unfortunately, yes.
I immediately extend my arms and start spraying.
Stall one, looks fine.
Stall two, looks fine.
Stall three, butt explosion.
Someone had somehow gotten poop on the walls, floor, toilet seat, above and on the toilet paper dispenser [mind you that is a good three feet tall].
After I puked a little in my mouth, I just closed my eyes and emptied the rest of the aerosols into that one stall.
I tried wiping up some of it, but had to pass on the task to upbeat ready for anything Carly. She accepted the task with the biggest smile.
"May the force be with you."
"What?"
"Never mind."

Next up, break time. Oh what shall I eat for lunch?
I settle with celery, peanut butter, and a honey green tea diet sobe drink.
I tried to take out the food pyramid and hit all those squares haha
We got veggies, protein, and cancer.
You know when you drink something that has 0 grams of sugar, but it is sweeter than your grandma?
Thats when you can determine you are drinking cancer.
And what delicious cancer it was haha.

After work [and some slight bike troubles haha] I head off on a joyride.
I meander a bit, but then camp out at the top of a hill that probably doesn't even have a name.
I'll call it Laurel Hill.
So I was up on Laurel Hill and I whip out my apple, peanut butter, and water.
Dinner.
Chunky peanut butter has definately become my condiment of choice.
Hight calories, but low carbs and lots of protein!
Lose-Win-Win situation haha
So that was the day.
I found it entertaining. I hope you do too haha.

Hammerhead i Eagle Thrust

So I had a dream last night that I went to a tennis match and when I got there and got ready to warm up, I realized that I hadn't shaved my legs. My leg hairs were about an half an inch long. Thats about this long  _______ and for leg hair, that's LONG. Instead of freaking out, all I said was,"Oh well." and started comparing it with the guy's. I love myself haha. The dream version of myself at least lol.

So I woke up after about 15 hours of sleep. I feel so good. I lazed around, watched the men of Top Gear make an electric car. They named it the Hammerhead i Eagle Thrust. The "i" had a flower instead of a dot though, can't figure out how to type it that way haha. My favorite show, I wish everyone had BBC. In Jeremy's "inspiration room" there was a picture of a furbie. That will be my next value village find. I will search like there's no tomorrow haha I want one of those creepy little creatures so bad now.

I officially deleted myspace. It was a surprisingly long process.
"Are you sure you want to delete your myspace?"
"Yes."
"Are you positive you want to delete your myspace?"
"Yes."
"Why do you want to delete your myspace? a. Bored of it. b. Never use it. c. Too much drama."
"Too much drama (I had to say it, it was too funny not to)"
"Once more, are you sure you want to delete your myspace?"
"Freaking positive."
"Do you realize this will change your life forever?"
"For the good, yes I realize."
The deed is done. I am satisfied.

At work I:
Saw a Camaro with a bra.
Colton made an Avatar rap.
Jessi came to visit me :)
I walked past a Prius and saw a cat looking out the driver's window. 2 minutes later its hazard light are on. Well done cat, attention's on you. I laughed so hard...

[Pictures of the day]
[a. My grandma made that hanger. Props grammy]
[b. I discovered my sister's typewriter. Nuff said.]

{State of Mind}

Where did I leave off, well we said our sad goodbyes and headed out around 9:30.
Back to the good old Tri-Cities.
The drive was safe, and we yelled some good quality songs.
My state of mind was interesting today.
The scale was from hyper to dead, and I was all over both ends of it.
This of course being because I was running on only an hour or so of sleep.
I'm happy my pita pit bracelet is still in one piece.
I have hopes of wearing it in the tennis tourney coming up for good luck haha we'll see.
I'm going to bed early tonight, I have so much sleep to catch up on.
Tomorrow will be a relaxing day, I need a weekend to catch up on sleep, and unfortunately, I will begin my AP Physics final studying tomorrow.
Kill me now. Wait don't. I was kidding.
Nick and I might play some tennis, that could be a nice break.
Until next time...

Phil Nye the Godly Guy

Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil....
That is what we chanted as he meandered on stage [Not Phil Nye haha].
It is official, like a referee whistle, Phil Wickham has the voice of an angel.
Some artists [*cough* Rihanna *cough* Taylor Swift] do NOT sound good live, but I would even go as far as to say that Phil sounded even BETTER live. He sang with such ease, yet with so much passion.
Leeland was the same. And when he smiled... :)
I cannot imagine having not gone to this concert, it was amazing, and that is that.
Afterwards Jessi looks over at me and says,"And the awesome thing is, the night has just begun."
We shuttled over to Shari's and the flustered waitor woman person pushed chairs together until all 12 or so of us fit snuggly around a distorted oval.
When we were done, we headed back to Noah's and all the guys kept saying saw how we were gonna pull an all nighter. Great haha.
We get there and Jessi and dump our gear downstairs.
We all chit chat and watch a Switchfoot DVD on repeat for a while.
James taught me how to play Fifo or something like that. A soccer game on xbox. I sucked, but he taught me how to do this sweet break dancin move on the field [supposed to steal the ball, but it just looked like he was straight up dancin].
Jesse played some tunes, glorious.
I made an awesome bracelet out of the cornerstone of a wicker basket chair. Win-Lose, oh well.
We ate some popcorn and made some tea.
1 turned into 2,
2 turned into 3,
3 turned into 4,
By four O'clock James has become my favorite person in the world.
Pure entertainment.
By 5, we start to crash.
By about 5:30 I lay down in the pita pit and engulf myself in my blanket. [I hate it when people can see my face when I sleep, I'm afraid they'll just sit and watch me drool or something haha]
By about 6am I relocate to the couch and its velvety goodness welcomed me right in.
I slept for maybe an hour? Then I woke up cuz I heard people eatin breaky.
I wasn't hungry, but I joined in with some worship out on the back porch.
I'll stop here, and consider past 8am as tomorrow haha....

6 more hours...

Concert tonight.With mah best friend. I CaN't wAit :)

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

Matthew 18:21-35
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."
"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.
Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.
"The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii.
He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.
"His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'
"But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.
"Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to.
Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?'
In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

I have been having issues with this for the last few months.
But I have decided to forgive, and let go.
I have forgiven my brother from my heart.
No more hassling him, I'm done.
God did so much more for me.
I will try to be more like him,
and forgive.

I can feel your halo halo halo...

So yesterday at lunch I played Halo.
We were in the photo room and about 8 of us logged on and started playing.
I really had no idea what I was doing haha.
I would be looking around at the lovely scenery [Bloody Gulch or something like that] after I "respawned" or whatever and instantly someone would run me over with a jeep.
Once I tried to get into a jeep but I couldnt get it to drive anywhere.
Oops, passenger seat status.
So I got out, and as I was about to get back in the driver's side, KABOOM, killed.
I killed 2 people total in the 15 minutes, and was killed 36 times.
Yeah, no mercy.
Pretty sure I was only in that game to boost other people's self-esteem.
Pretty funny stuff.
Nothing too exciting to report for today...
...I'm soooo excited for Thursday, I've already started packing :)

.Unexpected.

Aren't those the best days?
I had one today, I went IN the river.
I was napping in my secret spot, had a nice quiet time, then got up to leave.
I took all my stuff to the car, then decided, I'm hot, and I'm wearing a black shirt. Why not?
I then proceeded to skip back down the path and wade into the water up to my knees.
Here goes, I fell into the water, no going back.
Gosh you have no idea how refreshing it was.
It was catch your breath but can't stop smiling refreshing :)
And the drive home with the windows down, glorious.
Reminded me of summer and spontaneous jumps in the river and wet car seats.
The Camaro community showed its kindness today.
I let a brand new Camaro into the jammed traffic line this morning.
She waved. I smiled.
After school a grandpa on G-Way honked at me. We were driving the exact same white '97 Camaro. I stuck my hand out the window and waved like a crazy person :)
I wore my glasses today, therefore felt smart all day haha.
Despite my lack of Meryn I decided to hit the river anyways.
I read this during my quiet time...
James 1:6
"...but when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."
Praying and expecting answers. Not just simply praying to pray.

{In the middle of it all}

God bestows three blessings on man:
to feed him like birds,
dress him like flowers,
and befriend him as a confident.
To be fed, dressed, and have a relationship with God.
That is all we need.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
I have felt God with me everywhere I have gone in the last couple days.
It's been the peaceful places, the quiet ones.
When I'm in the middle of it all, just me and God.
Laying out on the river, just listening.
Sitting in the back of Jessi's backyard, in the warm sun.
Laying on my back in my backyard, watching a squirrel hop branches in our Maple tree.
For me it's these quiet times when I get to really admire God's creation that I feel closest to him.
I truly wish that everyone could have these moments.
I want everyone to know God, and all that he has done for them.
[Excerpt from Prayer and the Art of Volkswagen Maintenence]
"Don."
"Yeah."
"Why don't people believe?"
"Why don't people believe in what?"
"In God."
"I don't know. Not everyone has a Volkswagen."
When I grow up, I will sell Volkswagens to non-believers :)
Overall a great day today, I got so much done.
Church and discipleship were great, as always.
Went to the Office Max and the mall to run some errands.
Fixed my tail light. No more random texts from people I haven't talked to in years telling me my tail light is out haha.
Took a nap, ate some dinner, drank some tea, and read my book all outside on a blanket.
Perfect :)
I ended the night with a motorcycle ride with dad.
Felt good to lean into those corners again.
I'll be riding to school soon, and I just can't wait.
Well, goodnight, and God bless.

Let me introduce to you, the Chimpanzion

[I photoshopped a monkey face onto a lion. Legit haha]
Today I played my first single matches of the season.
I had such a blast. I won both of them.
The difference between singles and doubles is night and day.
Singles is so much more demanding, and honestly, way more gratifying.
There's something about knowing you are the only one who can get that ball over the net, and going all out for every point.
In dubs, it's easy to let a ball go and assume your partner will get it.
Singles, you're the only one. It's all you.
Coach said I could play number 2 singles at the Inland Empire tourny, and I'm so excited :)
Daddy-o came and watched both my matches, he drove my motorcycle to get it warmed up and ready for our ride tomorrow.
I'm praying for good weather, I'm really in need of a quality ride.
We hit around a bit after the matches. I really want to do the tournament this summer that is a kid/parent doubles tourny.
We'd have so much fun :)
I had a headache when I got home, so I layed down and took a 2 hour power nap.
Woke up around 8, ate dinner and watched Top Gear.
And now I'm off to bed.
I don't work tomorrow, and I have everything to look forward to.
Church, discipleship, prom dresses, motorcycle ride, the works :)
Oh, and I really like this song.

Laurel Adami, out.

Brown Bags + Canoe + Casey + Laurel = Epic Lunch

Today, my 4 year old cousin told me that everytime Miley Cyrus sings, a turtle dies. I love my cousin. MLIA

Today, I was "doing my business" in the stall, when I heard someone walk into the restroom. Out of an old habit, I stuck my head under the stall to look at the person's shoes. I ended up screaming when I saw that the person in the stall next to me was doing the exact same thing. MLIA.

Today after reading about UrbanDictionary.com I tried to search Edward Cullen. The definition was "A psycho who goes into girls bedrooms to watch them sleep. May or may not sparkle." Thank you Urban Dictionary, now I know someone agrees with me. MLIA.

Today, I weighed myself. I then released a big fart. I weighed myself again; I had lost a pound. MLIA

On Friday, my phone rang during class, along with this one other kids phone rang too, hers was Justin Beiber and mine was transformers theme song, guess who didn't get their phone taken away? :] MLIA

Last year, while at a concert, the band was in the middle of a song and I was jumping up and down and dancing crazily with all my friends when I felt my phone vibrate. I took it out and saw that my dad texted me. I went ahead and read it, thinking it was probably serious because he never texts me when he knows I'm at a concert. What'd he want? He told me that my crops on Farmville were about to wither and asked if I wanted him to get on my account and harvest them. I'm glad my dad knows what an emergency is. MLIA

Today, my friend asked me what I thought iced-tea would taste like heated...MLIA

Today, I got to use the phrase "use the force" in my physics homework. MLIA

Today I panicked when I realized I didn't have my seat belt on. Good thing I was sitting on my couch. MLIA

I haven't been to my favorite website in a while. There were some good ones :)
Highlight of today of course had to be eating sack lunches while sitting in a canoe drifting down the river with Casey.
We wanted to do something interesting for lunch, and it fit the description haha.
He insisted he would tip the canoe, but as soon as he touched the water, he changed his mind.
Thank goodness :)
We had delicious sandwiches, good conversation, and perfect weather.
Basically it was just really epic to be canoeing instead of the normal fast food half day.
I didn't get any pictures because I was afraid to get my camera wet, so I unfortunately have none to show of our wonderful adventure, but I will have the memories.
Red Robin with the tennis girls left me completely bloated, so I vegged at home for a bit before hittin up some random neon glow in the dark volleyball, or something like that haha.
Afterwards me and Casey made some delicious juice and looked through his old photo albums. priceless :)

Running total for the week [mind you I still have Saturday]
Being told that my tail light is out: 5
Being hit on while in my car: 6
Gotten enough sleep: 0

Time...

Funny I would get this quote today,
Jessi and I talked about time a bit this morning, and I've been thinking a lot about it lately.
Seriously, we ask for more of it, but God gave us 24 hours for a reason.
And when you think about how long our lives are in the grand scheme of things, ablsolutely nothing compared the eternity we get to spend in heaven with God.
This morning I was awakened to Jessi pounding the bed, "Laurel, wake up!"
"What time is it?"
"Eight"
"I have thirty more minutes."
"I'm hungry!"
"Go eat."
"But I want you to eat with me."
"Fine, haha."
We stayed up late last night {this morning} doing mad-libs, talking, and whatnot, and I needed my beauty sleep.
But guess who's stomach needed food more than my body needed beauty sleep haha.
We had whole-grain waffles (delicious), packed each other lunches (complete with funny notes), and then headed off to our different schools.
I ate my lunch at the park with some buddies, went to school, went back to the river, went to practice, went to work, then finally came home.
It was a busy day, and I'm ready for bed.
So I guess this is it haha
Goodnight :)

{Just Great}

Well, today was quite a day.
Nick was in a happy mood this morning, that was weird haha
I wore my romper in hopes of forcing summer :) It worked because it was hot and gorgeous outside.
I got to use my 260 AC. 2 windows down at 60 miles an hour.
Tennis was great, campaigners was great, slumber party with Jess was great.
We got all pruny in the hot tub and talked for what seemed like hours.
I swear we could seriously talk forever if we were given the chance.
I learned something simple today.
God made me who I am for a reason.
Every little detail has its purpose :)

Twosdey

Oh today :)
Started out with a big ol sleep in sesh. Nummy.
I was planning on a morning run before school, but guess what, that didn't happen lol.
It was weird only having 3 classes, but lovely to start at 11:35.
I got to visit Ms. Olson of whom I haven't talked to in weeks!
She makes-a-me smile, I hope she took her kids to the park today ;)
I took Meryn home after school and she had a meldown. I laughed. but so did she.
We layed out in the backyard and soaked in some rays before practice.
Practice was fun, I'm plaing singles this weekend, I hope that goes well.
More plans are going screwy, I can't believe how up in the air they have been recently.
My mind can only take so much, people.
You have now been formally introduced to my new camera [pictured above]
My dad sold it to me and it is now officially mine :)
Welp, goodni......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
