Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Kite Bombing

2 shorts + 1 vest = $7 at Value Village's Memorial Day half off sale.
Matt and I dive bombed a NSX with a trick kite.
I'm working on a Photography website, and it's coming along, but slowly.
Tomorrow will begin my last week of high school. Ever.

[rain, rain, rain]

Not gonna lie, being in Seattle for the last couple days, I feel for people going to UW.
This would not make me excited for college. Not one bit.
Meryn's team did excellent today. They placed 2nd out of 50 teams.
I had the t-shirt print guy put "iLove" on the back of my white v-neck. iLove it :)
When Meryn told me she wanted "iSpike" on hers, I thought she said "Ice Bike". I of course started laughing, and was like,"Ice Bike?" And she was like,"Yes?"
They sounds exactly the same lol.
Funny drive home. We arrived at home sweet home around 12. Bed never felt so good.

Alumni

We went out to dinner with the Smiths tonight.
Great food, great conversation, and great stories.
I can only hope I have as funny college experiences as they had.
It was a hoot hearing them reminisce about the good 'ol college days.
Every story just made me even more excited to start in the Fall.
WSU, I'm so ready :)

Several highlights of the day:

Played kickball in a torrential downpour for AP Chem. Epic.
I jumped in so many puddles afterwards, I felt like I was 5 years old again.
Not caring how wet I got, just trying to make the biggest splash.

Climbed to the top of the hanger at the airport.
Matt and I found a baby bird egg, and we've named it Melvin.
I can't wait for it to hatch.

Physical therapy. They electrocuted my ankle some more; it felt velly naice.

Began our journey to Seattle for Meryn's volleyball tournament.
When we got to the hotel, and opened the door to our room, the extra door lock that swings across was on. The only way that can get get swung across is if someone from the inside of the room locks it. Hmmmmmmm...
As we're mumbling about murderers, my dad walks up, opens the door the only crack its allowed, and asks,"Is anyone in here."
"Yes."
"Oh, snap."
I almost screamed.
Why in the heck would they give us keys to a room with someone already in it.
And mind you we are banging on this door whispering about murderers at 11pm.
I'm sure she was scared out of her mind. And I know we were too haha
Good times, good laughs, never go into room 211.

It rained today. I got a chance to take some flower pictures; they remind me of spring, which makes me think of how close summer is :)
Quality morning with Jio. She did everything she possibly could to snag extra donuts from the awards banquet. She had us students go into the gym [staggered of course] and grab 3 donuts at a time, and when she heard that Riggs told us we could take a box but Hergert put up a fight she dialed up Riggs in about 2 seconds. No answer. "Maybe they moved them into the teacher's lounge." "Someone come with me to carry them." Off she goes, with 3 minutes left in the period. All for donuts. Ha.
It was raining after school so Matt and I went on our Value Village run.
Got some t-shirts and a snot covered ring.
Went over to Karen's to watch some Office and we had some good chattage.
It was good to have some solid girl time. I needed it.

[Smoovies, airport, car wash, Idol, bed.]

I had a weird dream last night.
I was at my graduation ceremony, but I was wearing Kamiakin robes.
I realized that the ceremony was Kamiakin and Richland combined, so I started freaking out. I didn't want anyone to see me being a traitor.
I went into my room and put on my green robes.
Oh yeah, the ceremony just happened to be at my house.
Then I went into my parents' room to find Felix cutting cake and trying to teach other people how to do it right.
"Just slice it, it's not that hard."
[Relevent to tennis haha, gosh I love dreams.]
We distributed the cake onto twenty different rolling tables, and people were supposed to come in and take a piece from the table that corresponded with their age. Random.
The Felix started pedaling a bike, and it lifted the whole room up and we began to fly off into the sunset towards a lightning storm. More random.
Then, unfortunately, I woke up.

Watching Star Wars, finding lost debit cards, sliding down hills on a smoking mattress with wheels, playin some tennis, watching some Top Gear and Idol, getting in a weight insulting contest with my sister ["Would this look good on me?" "Well, it'd look good on a mannequin."], edamames for desert, and then bed. Solid day.

2 John 1:12

...I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.

[Jesus, I can't wait to talk to you face to face. Then my joy WILL be complete.]

Creating Memories

Isn't that what photography really is? Telling a story, expressing yourself, through pictures, allowing us to freeze time and create memories that will last forever.
I ordered a fisheye lens today.
I can't wait.

The Airstrip.

Beginning: Woke up with a nice note from Jessi. Dad taught me how to take off the wheel of my motorcycle for maintenance. A group of us surprised Nicole Renard at DQ for her birthday. She downed a large blizzard, I was so proud :) Jessi and I headed out early to get some kite flying in. That was an absolute blast. I see much more kite flying in our future.

Middle: Matt Polvi and I went on an adventure to the airport in hopes of taking pictures with planes and such. Success. A gate was unlocked so we drove out and had a sweet photo sesh. Next time we'll take my car :)

End: Decided to just stay at my house for the night. Meryn, Matt and I sat in my room for a good solid 20 minutes listening to Veggie Tales CDs and of course singing along. Meryn put on my cap and gown and was gospel dancing to it, I couldn't stop laughing. We finished off the night with Leap Year. One of my all time favorite movies I've decided. It's so witty. Overall, a fantastic day.

Last Half Day

Some Bagels With Casey: Good laughs and Jon Foreman tunes. "Speaking about following people..."
Fat Camp with Meryn: "You wanna try and get skinny?" "Okay [walking to the kitchen to get more food]"
Jessi and Laurel time!
River: Continue excercising our magical songwriting skills.
Value Village: Amazing dresses, boots, belts, and Jesus sandals!
Jessi's casa: Yummy taco soup/salsa, googling male leads in movies to see if they're cute enough to watch for 2 hours, and Carly came home :)
Mi casa: Food, Food, Food!
We start watching our movie and Mom goes,"Oh it's a period film."
"uh..."
great. lol. I'm not gonna lie, Bright Star is one of the funniest period films I've ever seen. It got to one point where Jessi and I were having intense chest pains and we could barely breathe. We kept trying to talk but would have to stop because it was so painful.
After the movie we watched Return to Fat Camp then called it a night.
After some random conversations and we finally drifted off to sleep.
I love you best friend :)

Influences

I found this picture and it made me think of me and my dad.
Of how much alike we are.
Cars, photography, sense of humor :)
Walmart shopping with Meryn after school. Gotta love Wally's World.
Went over to Teea's to do some math and have an Office party.
Quote of the night.
"I want people to make a barbie of me."
I want something inspiring to happen. Soon.
{These have become my drinks of choice. I can never choose one [and I don't want to be racist], so I get both.}

Physics Camp

Someone called our Silverwood Physics trip "Physics Camp" and it made me laugh.
Arrived to the classroom this morning, and there's no Megan [designated Silverwood buddy].
I wander out to the buses, completely lost without her, but then Matt Polvi walks up and is like,"Come on let's get on a bus."
New Silverwood buddy. haha.
The ride up was...interesting. All the seats were filled up so I got a random bus bud.
The girls next to me were drawing in coloring books. One girl drew a tooth fairy carrying a machete. Intense.
An hour in, I had to pee like none other.
We finally stop at a rest stop, and I run into a stall. It was then that I realized,"Oh yeah, I'm wearing overalls and a sweater. That makes going to the bathroom take ten minutes longer. Crap."
So we get to Silverwood and we head for the coasters!
I LOVE rollercoasters. Matt took a vid of us, while we were going on Timber Terror. Epic.
I did the tilt-a-hurl ride for the first time.
Seriously, I was laughing the whole time, best work-out ever.
Basically I laughed super hard all day. I needed it too.
Hung out with a big ol group of crazy boys involving a lot of parkour and contests to see who would puke first. Quality.
Ended the park with some ice cream, then headed back to the bus.
Matt and I took tons of pictures on the bus ride home, and then a rain storm hit.
Our bus leaked. Poop water was spraying my left arm the whole ride home.
Matt and I listened to some bomb music, and talked about cars. Surprise surprise :)
Oh and we stressed out the rest of the bus by opening our window. During the rain storm. Because we didn't like the muggy smell haha
Great day.
The end.

Baccalaureate

An inspiring night.
Made me realize how we're ending one chapter of our lives...
...and beginning what will be the rest of our lives.
Graduation is coming faster than I imagined it would.
But I'm ready for it.
I'm ready for what God has in store for me.

Ezra 10:4
Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it."

I have the support. I'm ready to go out into the world and make my difference.

Place Where I belong

I want to run on greener pastures
I want to dance on higher hills
I want to drink from sweeter waters
In the misty morning chill
And my soul is getting restless
For the place where I belong
I can't wait to join the angels and sing my heaven song

Listened to this on the way to school. I needed it.

My Informal Formal Date :)
YL Club tonight was awesome. Stinking awesome.
Old school prom getup and a huge group of crazy teenagers = tons of fun.
It got to a point where people were dancing in the streets...in the rain :)
Jessi and I wore our poofy sleeved dresses, and regretted it because we could not lift our arms up for Miley Cyrus's Party in the USA.
Great jammage to Keke Palmer was called for on the rainy drive home, and we kept the windows down so everyone could hear.

R.I.P.

Meryn's 25 cent fish finally died today.
She's fed it about 3 times in the last 6 months.
And maybe a total of 8 times in the last 2 years.
But somehow it's always kept swimming around.
I walked into her room today after work, and was like,"Is your fish still alive?"
Meryn: "Yeah, I checked on it like 2 minutes ago. It was flipping around so I threw in some food."
Me: "Well it's upside down now."
Meryn: "Dang it, I never even named it!"
Farewell fish with no name.
May you rest in peace.

Tennis: Districts: Wenatchee: Fun :)

Rise and shine. What a beautiful view from our hotel window.
I'm not gonna lie, not the best night of sleep I've ever had.
Elinor snored in the bed next to me, and Sydney was sleep-talking.
Strange business.
We were dropped off for a full day of tennis and a hot day of solid sunshine.
The girls did great, we made friendship bracelets while we watched our teamates play, and I got some good action shots of everyone.
Sunburned and tired, we all loaded up onto the bus after all the matches were over, ready for some dinner.
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. At dinner we were so tired and loopy that literally anything anyone said sent me and Syd into tears of laughter and aching abdominals.
I will say no more.
Our plan was to movie party once we got back around 11, but we were all WAY too tired to stay up any longer. And I have never felt so sweaty and gross and in need of a shower. I didn't even play! haha
Went to bed after a quick cold shower. I've never slept better.

Hammocks and Police

So Casey decided our lunch adventure this time should involve hanging up some hammocks.
Today for lunch I go to the secret spot to find a sleeping Casey and two hammocks set up for some excellent relaxation.
After I woke him up, we pulled out our sack lunches. As I was mounting my hammock [difficult by the way], an old woman yells out from her back porch,"This is NOT a campsite. You should NOT be here!" Then scoots back into her house and peeks out from behind the blinds.
I was like,"Casey you should go tell her we're not camping haha"
He went over and tried to talk to her, but she continued to hide behind the blinds and say nothing.
So we continued our lunch festivities.
20 minutes later a cop walks up to us.
"Hey guys."
"Uh, hey, do we need to leave?"
"I got a call from one of these houses. They said some people were camping out down here. You guys are gonna leave in a while right?"
"Yeah, we'll be gone in probably like an hour."
"That's what I thought. We get weird calls like this all the time. I'm just gonna wave my arms a bit so she thinks I'm yelling at you guys, and then I'll leave. Have a nice day guys!"
"Gosh thanks haha"
Best lunch ever. lol.
After school I had some Laurel and Jessi time!!
We met up at Roasters, got some coffee, were hit on by the cutie behind the counter [lip ring = wonderful], then headed down to the river :)
We listened to some new acoustic music I downloaded, talked, soaked in some rays, and started writing a song.
This song is going to be epic. I'm super stoked.
I have the best best friend in the world :)
Next, off to catch the bus to Wenatchee.
Districts this weekend [I can't play because of ankle issues, but I can still cheer!]
Once we made it to Wenatchee, we went to some weird pie restaurant.
Felix recommended it haha If you buy a main dinner, you get a free piece of pie.
After pie, we went back to the hotel, and headed for the hot tub.
Around midnight, we finally headed back to our rooms.
Syd and I were tired so we actually went to bed.
Full day tomorrow.

Hello Warm

A high of 83°F today.
13 days left in school.
83 -13 = 70.
'70 is one of my favorite years of Camaro.
Despite my severe case of Senioritis,
I guess I still love math.

Goodbye sweaters, hats, boots, ice scrapers, knitting, drifting, space heaters, soup, and electric blankets.
Hello tank tops, overalls, sandals, sunglasses, friendship bracelets, sidewalk chalk, windows down, summer dresses, and tan skin.

Malk

I picked up mom from preschool today and took her out to Some Bagels. We had delicious lunch and good conversation. I went back to school for my second lunch and sat outside with Meryn and Tim talking about how malk is bad for you and having a lovely view of the worst PDA I have ever seen. If they do it again tomorrow we're going to straight up sit next to them until they stop haha. I walked into Ms. Olson's room to find it fully decorated in birthday getup. I had no ideaaa. Happy Birthday Ms. Olson :)
There was an crazy freak storm: lightning, thunder, torrential downpour, the works.
I love listening to the rain.
That reminds me, I need to find my rain cd. It's a 2 hour long cd of the sound of rain. Glorious :)
[Dad took the photo, and I edited with photoshop. What a crazy storm.]
This is the video I took of our acoustic sesh with Needtobreathe. Absolutely amazing.
