Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

{you do not have a soul}

I haven't made any posters in a while so I pumped these out really quick today.
They are both original photos.
I rather fancy the quote.

An essay and 2 midterms this week.
If anyone needs me I'll be in my cave.

Presidents/This Providence

I couldn't really concentrate all day because I was so excited about the Presidents/This Providence concert.
I was most excited simply because it my first concert at WSU being on the SEB Concert Committee.
Getting to help with pre-concert stuff, hanging out with my SEB buddies. amd meeting the artists after the show.
Probably my most exciting Tuesday all semester haha.
This Providence was a great opener.
My favorite was the acoustic version of Sand in Your Shoes.
When the Presidents came on though; that's when the party started.
There were 10 or so people in the back left that were dancing in their little 3ft radius personal space bubbles.
They were all in their own little worlds. These people know how to party. It was great; we all joined in for a bit.
Lot's of concert committee bonding :D
Got to meet the bands afterwards; had This Providence all sign my badge lol.
Such a great night. That concert way exceeded my expectations.

But where are the fort blankets?

Bunco night couldn't have come at a better time.
Friday was a solid night of laughs, and hanging out with people I haven't seen in a while.
I got 2 buncos (a record for me I believe), and won a chocolate rose in the raffle.
I'll still have a chance with the bachelor. Thank you everyone for your support.
Watch me Monday at 8 on ABC.

Saturday was dull. Saternight was fantastic.
Ever wanted to build a fort, but felt like your age was a restriction?
Screw that.
Three 19 year olds constructed an incredible fort in a limited dorm space with limited supplies.
Blankets were tacked to the walls.
The traditional stack of books were used to weight down blankets.
A chain of hangers held our front door (snuggie) up.
Oh and we were nerping (laughing at dumb stuff because it was so late) hardcore.
The best part is that at church today one of the pastors made a reference to making forts.
He said,"So let's say a 14 year old makes a fort...wait that's way too old isn't it?"
Megan and I looked at each other and cracked up.
No. It's not too old :)

A while ago, I was in my room on my computer when my little brother ran in with an umbrella and threw himself on my bed, shouting,"Help me!" Two minutes later, my mom came in and shot him withhis Nerf gun while he screamed and used the umbrella as a shield. I love my crazy family. MLIA

That reminds me of break.
When my mom ran into my room and sprayed me in the face with silly string.
I love my crazy family :)

3am

Sometimes it's impossible to fall asleep until three because people are yelling in the hallway, and I don't want to leave my room to ask them to be quiet because there are drunk guys stumbling between rooms and the hallway is covered in vomit that I don't want to step in. I eventually had to venture out to go to the bathroom and when I went to wash my hands I almost threw up because the sink was filled about an inch with vomit chunks.

I will never forget...

...the tears streaming down a father's face as he held his son on his hip close to him singing,"How he loves us. Oh how he loves us."

"The love I'm singing about in that song is not a pretty, clean, hollywood hot pink love. It's a kind of love that is willing to love things that are messy, and willing to love even the difficult and gross things."

Night of Magic and Illusion

I had a lot of fun making this poster for YL.
Drew's coming to the next club and it's gonna be sick!

[walking to village tonight]
"Ew Teea did you feel that?"
"What?"
"I almost slipped on something squishy. Did you feel that mud?"
"Yeah I just felt rocks."
"Weird."
[5 steps later]
"Do you smell that?"
"What?"
"It smells like poop. Like really bad."
"Ewwwwwwwwwwwww I stepped in poop back there!"
[commenced to freak out and scrape my shoes in any pile of snow I could find. nast.]

I probably stepped in the only pile of fresh poop on any sidewalk in Pullman.
In my favorite $80 shoes.
Poop on the sidewalk? Really?
That's cool.

Trackin It

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I ran two miles on the outside track this morning.
Haven't been excercising as much as I should be.
And by as much I mean none at all lol.
It was so warm outside.
Today was the nicest it's been in weeks.
Went to cheer on Grant at his track meet.
He had by far the largest cheering section out of all the athletes.
The Cru and Resonate families showed up to cheer on our boy.
He placed 2nd. Atta boy Granters!!
Modern Family, Popcorn, and Pop.
That was what Teea and I were craving.
A lovely afternoon.
Dinner with my roomy and friends.
My grilled cheese was decent.
Homework time, and then over to Stimson.
After  watching about an hour of Miss America we headed to Flix.
Drilled Prince on random Chinese culture, then went back to watch the end of Miss America.
Washington got fourth place!
After that we got out twister and ping pong on.
Fun walk in the mist back to my dorm with Tristan.
I love how all of the guys I hang out with are complete gentlemen.
They hardly let me leave Stimson at night without making sure someone walks with me.
A great day in Pullman.
Goodnight everyone.

A Major Change

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
[Moscow Lights]

Literally.
As my dear friend Karsten told me,
"Treal [true+real] has a whole sub-category of 'follow your heart'"
I'm gonna keep it treal and change my major from engineering to business.
I'm leaning towards Management of Information Systems, and a minor in Digital Culture and Technology.
Business has always interested me, and Graphic design is a large part of Digital Culture and Technology which will fit me perfectly.
I've almost got all of my classes switched and I'm excited to have found a better fit.

[Lunchtime]
Me: "Why do you eat those  nasty noodles?"
Jordan: "I don't really know. There's something about their total lack of flavor that I find extremely appealing."

I love Cru days.
Over ten people who I don't usually talk to asked me if I was going to Cru yesterday.
I feel like I'm a part of a big family. Which I am :) So many people were there last night.
They had to turn off the lights to get us to leave the church because everyone stayed to talk for so long afterwards.

Moscow adventures with Carly Ross tonight. We hit up Bucers and Winco, then headed to Joey's to watch Fight Club. I'm still not sure what to think. It was really good. A brain twister for sure. "Wait, what about Clubhouse? I mean Fight Club!" ahaha So many laughs with Carlyle. Love her to pieces that girl.

This is the poster I've been working on for a concert coming up.
My pride and joy lol.
Coffee, Class, Coffee, Concerts Committee,
and Village.
So many C's.
Great day today.
I felt exceptionally scholarly today.
Accomplished quite a bit.
I think I'm going to be better at balancing this semester.
Sleepy time. Goodnight all.

Rereading.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
[I miss this crazy girl]

I'm starting to read through my posts one by one. I love it.
Being back at school has been amazing.
Seeing all of my friends again, getting back in to my routine of things.
I'm running out of wall space in our room to decorate.
I forgot the wonderful feeling of writing letters.
I'm loving being able to sleep in monday wednesday friday because my first class doesn't start till 2.
I forgot how essential a body pillow is for me to fall asleep.
8am class tomorrow. So goodnight for now.

I'd be lost without you

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Balto. The forgotten classic. Boris the goose. Muk and Luk the polar bears. I dug this vhs tape out and loved every moment of it. It's in my top ten favorite movies. That got me thinking about what my actual top ten list is. This list is subject to change [be it a new movie, or a lightbulb idea remembering a forgotten classic]. So here is my [relatively] top ten:

1. Inception
2. Hot Rod
3. Miracle
4. Cool Runnings (My heritage :))
5. Pirates of the Caribbean (first one)
6. Kicking and Screaming
7. Balto
8. She's the Man
9. The Notebook (only movie to reduce me to sobs)
10. Motocrossed

I finished knitting my infinity scarf tonight and I love it. I got a Walls Notebook from Fuego today. Every page is a picture of an urban looking wall; so it is essentially a notebook with every page a different stationary. I'm crazy about it and can't wait to start filling it with quotes and such. I watched an episode of the Magic School Bus tonight with my mom. Priceless. Tomorrow is my last full day home before I go back to school. I'm ready to go back. It's been an amazing break, but I'm ready to be back in Pullman, see all my friends again, sit in my favorite coffee shops, and surprisingly start classes. Getting back into my groove of things. Can't wait :)

Cracked Pots

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
God works through jars of clay, or what I often call "cracked pots." This means we are flawed, so when people look at us and see amazing things happening, they know it must be God at work because it certainly could not be us. I believe anyone who really knows me does not have any difficulty realizing the work I am doing on earth today certainly must be God at work in and through me. They give Him the glory, not me, because they see my imperfections and know my limitations. God chooses the weak and foolish things on purpose so no mortal can have pretense for glorying in His presence (1 Corinthians 1:27-29).
Imagine a pot with a lamp in it and a lid on it. Even though it may be filled with light, no one can see the light within it. Yet if the pot is cracked, the light will shine through the cracks. In this same way, God works through our imperfections.
This was in my daily devotional today and I really liked it.
Thought I'd repost it; I hope it speaks something to you.

YEAR ACCOMPLISHED

2010. All done.
Last year Jessi and I had the resolution to make blogs and post everyday.
Everyday would have a new picture so that we could improve our photography.
Everyday would tell a bit about what happened so that we would know how each other was doing
when we went separate ways to different colleges.
I'm happy to say that neither of us missed a single day.
We used unoriginal pictures every once in a while but other than that we did quite well.
I won't stop blogging completely. I enjoy it now.
But I know I'll enjoy it even more when I have the choice of what days to post.
Thank you everyone who reads my blog.
It made it easier to keep up and keep posting to know that people are enjoying it.
A few main things about this year:
I experienced God's grace and love more than ever.
I have made lifelong friends.
I survived my first semester of college.
I still have the best family in the entire universe.
And now for 2011:
Since I managed to post everyday, I feel like there's no excuse to miss a quiet time.
My goal is to get into the bible everyday and talk with God.
I am very excited.
I hope everyone had a good year.
God bless.
