Jeremiah 29:11

L-Dawg and J-Shrek

...
- Drove an A4 with Matt. Say what?! Yes, we are that cool. It was quite the adventure :D
- Bought animal bracelets and gave them to the Polvi youngsters.
- Decorated my shoe box
[Jessi did too; we're gonna store our letters to each other during college in them]
- Got my ears double pierced! Gosh it hurt so bad. She put them in painfully slow which only made it worse.
Thank goodness Jessi was there to hold my hand lol
- We watched a beautiful sunset in the back of her truck, and ate the traditional ChexMix.
- Myfroyo was next on the agenda after a quick water stop at the Laureano's for water.
...
I have the greatest friend in the world.
That's all that needs to be said
:)

She went out on a Limb

had it break off behind her, and realized she could fly.

...
Morning full of chores, then a quick stop at RimTyme before I headed off to Nick's.
...
After some intense ping pong we decided sketchy taco truck tacos were exactly what we needed.
We ate them down by the river, and caught up with each other's lives.
Spilling our guts and giving advice. The usual :)
I'm gonna miss that boy.
...
Coffee and a dip in the Columbia with Alex.
Had some difficulties walking through the rocks to get out,
but we've never been graceful haha
...
I got to see another great sunset tonight while I was pushing carts.
Those are two things I'm going to miss.
Tri-Cities sunsets.
And pushing carts.
Believe it or not :)

Serious Cat

Do you want your mom?
Oh yes.

Today I had my blood drawn.
Everything was fine, she put the needle in, it hurt a bit, but in my mind I was like,"This isn't so bad."
Then the room began to spin.
And the edges turned black.
And then all I could see was black.
My whole body was dripping in sweat.
My hands were shaking.
For two and a half minutes I sat in complete darkness.
I could hear people talking, but when I opened my eyes as wide as I could, all I could see was black.
It was terrifying.
I imagined that this is what it would be like if I was blind.
Opening my eyes, only to see nothing.
I am so gratful for sight.

Karli and I made waffles this morning.
They were more than delicious.
We caught up on what was going on in each other's lives.
It was needed. I'm gonna miss that girl when I head off to college.
She truly loves the Lord. And I admire that.

[This is Serious Cat. He goes with me when I get shots]

Now Zoom in.

...

- Lord, please help my non-christian friends I hurt for them...
- I pray for my mom and dad to find love for each other again.
- That Jesus will answer my letters to my dad in heaven.
- I pray to understand that your love is as real as it gets. No one elses will compare.
- In my pain I build walls, to protect me from the outside. But as I heal, those walls that used to be my fortress become my Prison. Only God can tear down my walls.
- Lord I pray for David, Please God help him stay away from the drugs in his family and please, Lord, help him to find you. He needs you.
- For my pregnant friend that she makes the right choice to keep the baby. God, let her know you're there for her.
- I pray for my enemies.
- Help me to be the person God sees in me, not who the world sees.
- Dad died last January...still having hard times.
- That I can be a light.
- Pray for my broken heart.
- You never love me less, no matter how badly I screw up.
- Help me find strength to get through the day.
- Friend's 14 month old son died yesterday.
- My parents are drunks.
- For Abianne, that she will accept herself, and that we will accept her and be the friends that she deserves.
- I pray she can cope.
- Lord, you know what's going on. Save us from this life of sin. Only you can help us now.
- For Melvin Ortega, and all children in poverty.

I Need to Breathe

Wait to be in the front row: 3 hours
Wait to meet them: 2 hours
Total: 5 hours that were completely worth it.
I wore my lion shirt, and every band member made a comment about it.
Now when I wear it to their next concert, they'll know who I am :)
Me and Seth had a moment.
I told him that I skipped my senior prom to go to his concert.
His jaw dropped.
He put his hand up, and we proceeded to high five.
He gave me that big beautiful smile of his, and then I moved on to meet the rest of the cheery band.
I love them. I love them, I love them, I love them...

Fourth Time's a Charm

That is the face in response to the worst fart I have ever smelled.
It affected everyone within a 40 ft. radius.

We had our fill of John Mark McMillan today.
Four times we got to here his lovely voice.
As we were walking past the back of the main stage, we recognized him and waved.
He got the biggest smile, and waved back. Perhaps the best part of the day right there :)
The first song he sang was Ten Thousand.
I'd never heard it, but it's now one of my favorites.
He signed my arm in silver sharpie.
I hope it never washes off :)
TFK was a bit too intense for my liking,
but TobyMac was incredible.
He sang my favorite song acoustic.
It was wonderful.

I wanna know, wanna know what you were thinkin'
I can't imagine why it didn't even sink in
They say you never know what you got till it's gone

True Worship

SonsofDay, The Classic Crime, Hillsong Live, Newsboys.
Highlights of the day.
I'm crazy about The Classic Crime's song Four Chords
When Hillsong sang Mighty to Save, the tears started to come.
That is my absolute favorite worship song.
Being surrounded by thousands of people, all praising God, is the best feeling.
We are all living for the same God.
We all have the same purpose.

1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of the faith.
Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called...

The Green Giant

We made it.
One Mary-Kate and Ashely movie later, and we've made it to Enumclaw Washington.
We make camp, then head to the main stage; backpack chairs on our backs, and huge smiles on our faces.
Preparing our minds for David Crowder and Switchfoot :)
A car dealership had some cars on display.
I was magnetically drawn to the synergy green Camaro.
Me like.
DC was incredible, as always.
Switchfoot blew my mind.
Jon Foreman sounds even better live.
But then again, what christian artist doesn't?
Jessi brought that up during the week, and it is so true.
Everyone I've listened to have not disappointed.
They've sounded better than the cd.
This first night was probably the funniest.
"I'm in a meeting."
"He's perfect in every way, but his name is Celeste."
"Hola. Y tu?"

(Bicyle Earrings and an Old Friend)

....
These are my new earrings.
I love them :)
....
Roasters with Al today.
Gosh I miss that girl.
We got talking and it was as if it was 4th grade all over again.
In a good remeniscing way, not an immature way haha
....
I saw Inception tonight.
I might go as far to say it is now my favorite movie.
I love movies that twist.
Unpredictable plots.
I highly recommend it to everyone.
It absolutely blew me away.

Butcher Farner Reunion

Family Reunions. Gotta love 'em.
We made it to the campsite, and had tent troubles. As always.
This time we forgot the poles.
But not to worry, Dad brought them! At 9pm! When it was dark! haha
We had the whole camp helpin us out, and we finally got it up.
Not that it mattered for me. I wanted to sleep under the stars.
Lately that's kinda been my thing. I prefer it.
Despite young children running over me, I managed to sleep in until about 10am.
We spent the day catching up with everyone, boating, and ended the night with a lovely campfire.
I've had many a campfire this summer now, so S'Mores are my specialty :)
Dad and I attempted star pictures, and then called it a night.
I love camping. I'll say it again.
I love camping.

*Memories

I've been doing a lot of cleaning. Deep cleaning. Which I hate.
But some good has come out of it.
I found my stash of notes.
They're homeade birthday cards, notes snuck during class,
even a math problem that had Nick and I crying from laughter.
I went through them all today, and it just made me happy.
I've been getting rid of a lot of things, but all these notes, I know I will always keep.
They're memories.

[watch, It's so fun to say...despicable me]

What a morning. Jessi and I managed to fit our bikes in the back of her truck, then we headed off to the river.
We talked and rode, then jumped in the river, then rode some more to dry off, then tried to go drive thru with our bikes :)
After some delicious smoothies we called it a morning. I have the greatest best friend.
...
At work today an old man came through the line, saw my nmae on my nametag and tells me,"I knew a Laurel once. He was a man." I laughed so hard, I almost peed.
...
Matt and I went out to the wind turbines again to watch the sunset.
This time I brought my camera!
We got some good pics, then headed off to see Despicable Me.
It was so good. I was constantly laughing, I recommend it to everyone.
It's been a full day. This is Laurel Adami. Out.

Coffee, Ukulele, and some Turbines

Morning cup of Joe.
Today is going to be a good day.
After Tommy's surprise party, I continued the never-ending deep clean of my room, then took a break and went over to my lovely neighbor Nick's.
I drive up and he's sitting on his porch, wearing his aviators, playing his ukulele.
I couldn't stop smiling, he makes me so happy with his randomness.
We hit up Sonic's happy hour, then went back to his house.
Today I saw a grown man cry.
At least he thinks he's a grown man because he's 18.
I'm not so sure ;)
He was cutting up onions for dinner, and tears were coming down like crazy.
Again, I couldn't stop laughing.
We listened to Mumford and Sons as he cooked and I ate.
But I had to leave to get ready for my photoshoot.
Meet the Hares.
They are a darling family and I enjoyed this shoot a lot :)
After we finished I came home and asked my dad if he felt up for a motorcycle ride.
We got the bikes ready, and mom even jumped on the back of his to join us!
We headed out to the wind turbines, and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.
The silhouettes of the turbines against the colorful sky was incredible.
I regret to admit I did not bring my camera.
So I don't have any photos, but don't worry, I'll be heading back there very soon.
And next time, Canon's comin with :)

I feel inspired.

.The Cave.

Highlight of the day.
Walking through a pitch black cave.
It was terrifying, thrilling, and one of the most adventurous things I've ever done haha
We are true adventurers!
We got back to camp and I put a hair wrap in Jessi's hair while we all sat and just talked.
I love my friends. I'm blessed to have such great ones.
...
One the way home I had to splash water on Jessi's face when she wasn't expecting it.
It was the only way I could keep her from falling asleep haha
We eventually switched drivers and I got to drive the purple madness.
We managed to get up the hills, and made it home safely.
I'm ready for a good nights sleep in my own bed.
Nighty night :)

Es-kah-peh

Karyn, Bulin (I messed up the spelling, I'm sure haha), Jenna, Natalie, Jessi, and I headed out this morning on a camping adventure.
I love camping. Jess and I cranked the tunes and had a lovely drive following the Ford Es-cah-peh.
We stopped at a fruit stand and bought some cherries, and then concentrated on getting to our destination. Bumping Lake.
The drive up was absolutely gorgeous. We followed a creek for a lot of the drive, and the houses were adorable.
Jessi and I decided we're going to live next door to each other when we grow up. Us and our wonderful husbands. She's going to have a boy, and I'm going to have a girl, and they're going to be best friends. And then they'll get married. And then Jessi and I will be related. Somehow haha.
We'll go over to each others houses in the mornings and drink coffee on our porches and it will be wonderful :)
We arrived at our campsite and wrestled with the tent for a good 40 minutes. We had no idea how to put it up and the neighbors got pure entertainment out of it.
After lunch we headed to the lake and floated for a couple hours.
It was relaxing, and the water felt so nice on such a hot day.
We did some adventuring around the creek by our campsite.
Crossed many logs, and ended up finding some really beautiful spots.
We got back, started a fire, and then roasted our hot dogs.
Cream cheese. That's all they need. Put some of that goodness on a bun and you're set.
Roasted Marshmallows and S'Mores for desert.
We really outdid ourselves roasting those marshmallows.
It almost became a sport :)
A rocky night on the deflated air mattress, but hey, a bed's a bed.
