Fighting Battles

That Comfort Zone Diagram applies once again. I saw To Save A Life tonight. The last scene was the only one that got me tear-jerkin. The fact that there are so many kids at our schools who we have never talked to who are really roughin out life, and WE could be that person to make a difference in their life is amazing.  God has put it on my heart to be one of those people.  I'm going to start eating lunch in the cafeteria and looking for someone lonely or upset. Every Thursday. You can count on it. I want to make someones day, be an influence in their life. I've only got a couple months left of high school and I am determined to make a difference. I wish I'd started earlier. I'm excited about the people I am going to meet, the things I can share with them, asking about their weekend plans, just plain being interested in someone's life who wouldn't expect it, someone who needs it. And guess what. Tomorrow's Thursday. Guess where I'll be...

[reinactment of Meryn straight up walking into a pole; I've never actually seen anyone do that, but there we were, walking along, and then all of the sudden no more Meryn by my side, the pole took her out haha]

  1. I totally feel the same. To Save a Life was pure conviction. After I watched it my friend Jared and I thought of similar ways to reach out to the lost and lonely. That's really awesome Laurel. Hope all goes well. :)
